Time for Week Two of Fandom Tea Blends Giveaways! This week’s tea blend is one of the most popular and perfect for desert tea lovers! Read below for more reviews/information on the tea, and how to win your own bag of it, as well as an ingenuiTEA tea pot!
THE MYCROFT BLEND: No brother, I have not been eating more cake. I’ve been drinking it. (chocolate chip, rooibos vanilla chai, cream)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “The smell of this tea in the bag reminds me strongly of Pfeffernusse, those German Pepper cookies you get at Christmas. Mostly spice, but coated with chocolate on the bottom. Sweet, wonderful nostalgia. I could cry. And oh my god it even tastes like that brewed up. I’m sort of amazed right now. I was trying to blend a tea that would be reminiscent of a piece of chocolate cake but I’m so happy with what I got. The tea is a little bit bitter on it’s own, but again, it reminds me of spice cookies. The chocolate taste is really nice and mellow, but the spices aren’t too strong either. It all just works really well together. I actually like it just fine on it’s own, but adding a little cream and sugar makes this tea feel decadent. Definitely a Mycroft tea.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
- “A very smooth and sweet taste which makes it a good tea to have in the evening with dessert. Smells amazing and goes well with a little milk and sugar.”-Holly C.
- “This tea really does taste like I’m drinking a cake, whether or not sweetener is added. It’s a wonderful chai blend.”-Yulia S.
- ” This is…MOTHER OF GOD. Once you go Mycroft, you cannot go back apparently. I literally drink four cups a night while working on my thesis. Just….fabulous. It’s perfectly toasty and lightly sweet and best done with just a splash of cream.”-Beth P.
- “This blend smells, tastes and feels decadent and amazing. The mix of chocolate and vanilla chai makes it a lovely dessert tea. A perfect representation of Mycroft Holmes as a character.”-Arizona D.
- “This blend smells amazing. I seriously wanted to stick my whole face in the bag. It has a light vanilla/chai flavor that goes very well with a bit of cream.“-Nikki N.

Thanks to the overwhelming response to the Sherlock Tea Give Away (which ended a few days ago, you can stop reblogging it now <3), Adagio and I have decided to help make sure even MORE people have a chance to try some of the fandom tea blends I’ve made <3
Not only that, but Adagio is going a step further and sending each weeks winner one of their IngenuiTEA tea brewers along with the tea! These things are AWESOME, especially if you’re new to loose leaf tea and don’t have much brewing equipment. You can find out more about the IngenuiTEA pot at this link.
So now, once a week, I’ll be posting a review of a different tea blend, and you just have to reblog the post for a chance to win a whole bag of the tea being reviewed! So, without further a do, the first tea blend is also the most popular!
THE WATSON BLEND: Queen and Country traditionalist, but still recounting his days in Afghanistan drinking green tea, John Watson prefers his tea with a bit of cream, no sugar, and just a little warm from a touch of cinnamon. (irish breakfast, cinnamon, earl grey green)
MY REVIEW OF IT: “In the bag, it smells wonderful. You get that strong, warm cinnamon scent first, then you realize there’s some earl grey in there too and I melt just a little bit because it’s just such a comforting smell. Warm and familiar and calming. The cinnamon smell is still strong in the cup, and kind of reminds me of red hot candies LOL. And oh man. This tea is naturally really nice and sweet without any added sugar. The cinnamon continues to be be dominant, but you definitely get the earl grey in there with the sweet orange tones. This tea is absolutely lovely and definitely reminds me of John. I think it’s earned its ranking.”
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING:
- “I always want to bury my face in the bag whenever I open this tea — it smells amazing, very cinnamon-y!”-Caitlyn O.
- “Incredibly comforting, with the warm cinnamon to add a bit of kick. Delicious.”-Ariel S.
- ” Like being tucked into a cuddly jumper and curled up on the sofa.”-Crystal M.
- “This tea feels like your favourite sweater on a cool day. The cinnamon hits you right down to your toes.”-Arizona D.
- “Perfect for an adorably BAMF, made of kittens, ex-army doctor.“-Sheri L.

Greg (2013)
Starring: Rupert Graves as Gregory Lestrade and Louise Brealey as Molly Hooper
Gregory Lestrade (Graves) is married to his work as one of the best Detective Inspectors at Scotland Yard. The only excitement ever found in his day comes in the form of a man by the name of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch). That is, until he discovers Molly Hooper (Brealey). Together they tell a story of true love and survival in the wake of the death of the greatest man they ever knew.
Inspired by this post.

WHERE THE FUCK ARE ALL THE LESTRADDLE/MOLLY FICS
For some deranged reason my favourite thing is the fact that it’s R-rated….
This is Beautiful.
